My New Favorite: Apple Cider Bread Pudding with Maple Custard and Praline Sauce

  I love the holidays. I love the family gathered around, sharing laughter, food and memories. This year, I decided to be bold and not only try a new recipe, but create it myself. I adapted it from several recipes and it really hits the spot. Warm, comforting and delicious. I am adding it to the “tried and true” collection. I may not have inherited a lot of recipes, but I am for sure going to leave some good ones for the next generation to enjoy. How to Leave a Legacy

Actually we all will leave a legacy whether we like it or not. We all leave footprints in the sand, the question is, will we be a big heal, or a great soul?Researching my family history has given me the opportunity to think a lot about the legacy I inherited. First, I had to define what that legacy was. It obviously wasn’t fame and fortune, but seeing how some of those who have inherited those things haven’t really turned out all that well…Paris Hilton and Charlie Sheen , I not so sure that is a bad thing.My family’s legacy wasn’t thought out or planned. The legacy left is the result of their choices and how they lived their lives. They left no written record or journal of their thoughts, no real tangible record of their hopes, dreams and struggles. No cherished recipes past through the generations, no real heirlooms have past down this way.
